SQL Server Caching

Dec 1, 2014 at 1:49 PM
Hello there!

I've just started using your Map control and are still trying to get used to it (got a two steps to take because just switched over from winforms too, so be patient with me :D )

Now here's my Question:
Is there some way to use a MS SQL server for tile caching?
I got the case where the map is used on many computers in a local network and i thought it would be sweet to cache tiles on the Local SQL server to hit the global servers less.

You may create another System.Runtime.Caching.ObjectCache implementation, just like the ImageFileCache or FileDbCache classes in the projects ImageFileCache.WPF and FileDbCache.WPF, which are part of the XAML Map Control source distribution. An instance of your cache class would then be assigned to the static TileImageLoader.Cache field.
