Add different elements to map

Oct 31, 2013 at 6:40 PM
Hi,
I have been trying to add to the map other elements than what we can find in the demo.

I tried to use "<Style x:Key="PointItemStyle" TargetType="map:MapItem">", and I replace the code inside by :
<Path Stroke="Black" Fill="Black" StrokeThickness="1" >
  <Path.Data>
    <PathGeometry>
      <PathGeometry.Figures>
        <PathFigure StartPoint="longitude/latitude">
          <PathFigure.Segments>
            <ArcSegment Point="longitude/latitude" />
            <LineSegment Point="longitude/latitude" />
            <ArcSegment Point="longitude/latitude" />
          </PathFigure.Segments>
        </PathFigure>
      </PathGeometry.Figures>
    </PathGeometry>
  </Path.Data>
</Path>
I can see something on the map, but what is created is a very small small line and I cannot zoom on it. The longitude/Latitude I use should give me a big curve.

So, if somebody could just give me a hint to go in the right direction, it would be very appreciated.

Thanks.

The map control does not support PathGeometries given in world coordinates. You may create a polynomial approximation of the figure and use that with a MapPolyline.
